PET is becoming increasingly popular for the beverage, food, cosmetic and other industries. From 2000 to 2005 worldwide PET consumption increased by nearly 100%.
On the other hand, tons of used PET bottles are in waste deposits. And these waste deposits will grow day by day. Therefore PLASTic recycling has taken on an important role in most countries worldwide. What used to be regarded as “waste” is now seen as a “secondary raw material”.

The patented SSP process deploys the following process steps when upgrading a cleaned PET flake:
• Extrusion
• Granulation
• Crystallisation
• Post-condensation
The final product is a food-grade PET
granulate which can be adjusted batch by batch to customer needs, in particular
to the IV level required by preform manufacturers. The technology guarantees a
product with a constant level of quality and which can be used for the production
of new preforms, food packaging, technical yarns or other applications in a mixture
with virgin material of up to 100%.
